On LV Sands Contribution To Mayor Of Las Vegas, Oakland Raiders News, Vlog To Jason Cole My Friend
This is a simple vlog and made because the Mayor of Las Vegas Carolyn Goodman responded to my vlog and tweets about the campaign contributions from Las Vegas Sands, the same organization that, with Oakland Raiders Owner Mark Davis, and members of Majestic Realty are bringing a proposal to build an NFL Stadium to the Southern Nevada Tourism and Infrastructure Committee (SNTIC). The same SNTIC Mayor Goodman sirs on! While Nevada law says that the elected official below the state level does not have to disclose a campaign contribution, the same law does not allow the official to become involved in making a decision where there is an obvious perception of conflict of interest. That is not there. Even wit that, the Mayor said she talked with her City Lawyer and she can sit on an advisory board in her capacity. But that was not the question. The question was can she make a decision while on that board that involved a person or organization she took a campaign contribution from that presented something to be decided on by that board. The SNTIC staffers see that Mayor Goodman has a perception problem here. But for some reason my friend Jason Cole can't see that, so he, the former Yahoo and now Bleacher Report and then next platform (maybe mine) NFL reporter comes through and attacks me on Twitter to defend the Mayor of Las Vegas! Wild. And Jason's wrong - once again. Still my friend but just wrong. My vlog talks about all that. And more!
