Peyton Manning threw for 405 yards and Decker caught eight for 174 and four TDs. Thomas had three for 106 yards including an amazing 77-yard catch and run. Knowshon Moreno grabbed Manning’s other TD pass.
Why was Manning able to do that against the Kansas City Chiefs but not the New England Patriots?
The biggest difference between the Sunday game of yesterday and the Sunday Night Football game of two weeks ago wasn’t that the Broncos came back from being down early. No. It was that the KC Chiefs didn’t use the Pats Defensive Playbook. More at Zennie62.com: Denver Broncos Beat Kansas City Chiefs; Eric Decker, Demaryius Thomas Never Saw Bump Coverage

But the 2013 season has been a disappointing one for those who believed Jadeveon Clowney was going to destroy the SEC. A series of nagging injuries combined with the large degree of attention placed on him, have combined to wreck his NFL Draft prospects, at least right now.

From Zennie62.com: Deacon Jones, The Secretary Of Defense in the NFL, passed away at the age of 74 on Monday. Jones was perhaps the best defensive end in the history of the National Football League, and was part of the famed “Fearsome Foursome” that consisted of Rosey Greer, Lamar Lundy, Merlin Olsen, and Mr. Jones.
It’s impossible for this blogger to think of an NFL All-Star 4-3 Defense without Deacon Jones, who played for the Los Angeles Rams and the Washington Redskins, at defensive end. Deacon Jones: NFL HOF Defensive End Passes At 74

Pro Football Weekly.
After 46 years, Pro Football Weekly has published its last issue.
The publication I read religiously when I was a teenager, and because it had the only reliable and detailed account of the 1975 Dallas Cowboys Offense, and their employment of pre-shfting, is no longer. According to its Publisher and editor, the legendary Hub Arkush…

Beyonce appeared in a press conference in New Orleans at the Super Bowl today, and started the affair with a rendition of The National Anthem that was so 'in-your-face' to critics who claimed she was lip-syncing that it was as funny as it was just plain awesome.
But even though it seemed Beyonce set the record straight, many in the media audience obviously didn't listen.
Take Fox News and this headline: "Beyonce sings national anthem at press conference, admits she lip-synced at inauguration," written by Fox News and The Associated Press. It's wrong.
What Beyonce said was that she "sang along with a pre-recorded track." When a CBS media type asked for a clarification, she said that she did sing.
But, as I said in my video, she was not lip-syncing - I was there.
The NFL media website has great information about the Super Bowl for NFL members like this blogger. One of them is this preview document that was posted in the website. You can’t see it, so here’s a Zennie62 exclusive for you to get ready for Sunday:
SUPER BOWL XLVII: BALTIMORE RAVENS VS. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
It all comes down to this.
On Sunday, February 3, the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers will meet in Super Bowl XLVII (6:00 PM ET, CBS) at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
The game will mark the first time in any of the four major professional sports (NFL, NBA, MLB or NHL) that brothers – Baltimore’s JOHN and San Francisco’s JIM HARBAUGH – will match up against one another as head coaches in a postseason game.
“I guess it’s pretty neat,” says John Harbaugh, who has eight postseason wins in his first five seasons, tied with TOM FLORES for the most since the 1970 merger. “It’s pretty cool. But it’s really about the team. It’s about the players. That’s what it’s about. More at Zennie62 here:Super Bowl XLVII Preview: Baltimore Ravens v. San Francisco 49ers

KC Chiefs MLB Jovan Belcher seemed to have everything to live for. But for some reason, during an argument with his girlfriend, and in front of her mother it seems, he snapped and killed her. Then, Jovan drove to the KC Chiefs Practice Field, where, before entering he was met by KC Chiefs GM Scott Pioli and Head Coach Romeo Crennell and then pulled out a bag and shot himself. Given how the Oakland Raiders are performing, it’s time to look back to the 2012 NFL Draft Red Carpet and the remarks of the Raiders Legendary Cornerback (that’s my title for him) Willie Brown on the “new” Raiders.
He said that without a person like the late Al Davis, the team needed leadership at the head coach and general manager positions. Brown also said that a key to the Raiders stating in Oakland was getting a new stadium – something the Raiders have been working with Oakland and Alameda County officials on. Ouch. My bottom still hurts from the beating the Houston Texans gave the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. The game was beyond painful to watch and it was heart-breaking watching a team with so much potential play so poorly in a match-up of what was supposed to be the AFC’s top teams.
Unfortunately the Texans had the Ravens’ number early when they sacked quarterback Joe Flacco and scored a safety. This ignited the ugly chain of events that ended in the 43-13 beat down of the Ravens. - more at Zennie62.com Wounded Baltimore Ravens Suffer Meltdown in Houston

The Atlanta Falcons current record of 6-0 may have been dismissed by many parts of the media much to the annoyance of Falcons fans, but the NFL’s last undefeated team has still been met with some caution by fans of the team from Georgia.
There are two main reasons for this, the second, which we will come too later is this current teams recent playoff history, something that the media themselves have become a little obsessed with. The playoffs don’t start until January and therefore it is impossible for any team to improve their record in the post season at any time before then.
