Ronald Reagan Called For Assault Weapons Ban, Donald Trump, GOP, Can Too
Ronald Reagan, former President, called for an assault weapons ban and even joined former Presidents Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford in signing a letter calling for the House of Representatives to pass the 1994 Crime Bill. That legislation contained an assault weapons ban. There is no reason the Republican Party can't back such a law today. Especially in the wake of the worst mass shooting in American History.
